Coon Dog Day

Comments from the Band...
The town of Saluda, established in 1881, is a quaint mountain town located in the hills of Western North Carolina. The history culture and scenery of Saluda make it a popular place to visit year round. Most of the band members visit Saluda throughout the year as it is located on a scenic highway (176) which is one of many popular biker routes in the region. If you''ve ever been through there before, you know it''s a great place to stop for lunch or dinner. With restaurants like the Green River BBQ and the Purple Onion in town it''s a great place to take a break on a day of riding. If you''ve never stopped before, you need to. Performing in Saluda yesterday was enjoyable for the entire band and we already look forward to a repeat performance next year.

Lots of people came out for the festival this year. The kind comments we received from many of the folks were very much appreciated. We tried to fit in as many Johnny Cash hits as we could within the two hours we had to perform. Hopefully we played some of your favorites! A big thanks to everyone who came out to listen and dance during the show. It is always nice to perform and see the audience having such a good time.

We hope to see everyone again at Coon Dog Day Festival, 2008!

Hi Everyone, This is Tim (the drummer) I just wanted to pipe in & thank everyone personally for a FANTASTIC time in Saluda. I have played a ton of gigs in my life and this was one of the best crowds I have ever played too. Thank you all again for a GREAT time in Saluda.

My girlfriend and I caught your act in Saluda, NC. Absolutely fantastastic, in fact, I dont think Johnny Cash had that good of a sound. I know it was hot and you worked hard, but everyone in the crowd loved it. Keep up the good work.

Hey guys! Saw you at Coon Dog Day. You guys are awesome!!! You should come to Spartanburg and play Music on Main - we'd love to have you!!!

Hey McCauley and Mere, Thanks so much for your comments. We sure did enjoy playing for Saluda. I stuck around after the show and that town had it going on... I dont think there was anything in the whole state that could compare to what Saluda put togther that day. It sure was nice to see a crowd that knew so much about Cash. I bet I shook 100 hands after the show and all kinds of folks were telling me thier favorate song.. I look forward to coming back. That was the first time I had ever been to Saluda, but I sure felt right at home... Robert Beall (Vocals)

Hello Everyone, This is John, (one of the two guitar players). What a great time we had. I've been to Saluda many times and I don't think Main Street has shook like that since the last freight train went through. What a crowd, dancing, clapping, singing along. It just don't get any better than this! Our thanks go out to Monica Pace, the Police Dept, the Town of Saluda, and all who attended for making us feel welcome. I can't wait til next year!
